For Hiking and Outdoor Activities the Top Clip On Bluetooth Speaker is the JBL Clip Plus Splashproof Portable

When you head out into the woods for a few days, you pack light and you pack small. If you want to bring your music along you will need a Bluetooth Speaker that meets that same criteria. Weighing in at just half a pound, the JBL Clip Plus fits the bill. It is a compact speaker that has an integrated clip that can be used to quickly fasten the speaker to your backpack or belt.

Choose Your Color

It’s rare to have so many color options in any one model but the JBL Clip Plus is available in a total of eight colors, so there should be something for everyone. Choose from black, blue, orange, pink, red, yellow, grey, and teal. These aren’t your average Crayola colors either, they are brilliant, unique shades. See all eight colors here.

Hooked on Music

Yep, I am hooked on music and want to take it with me wherever I go. The JBL Clip Plus has a built-in carabiner hook to make this even easier. What the heck is a carabiner hook? For the layman, a carabiner hook is spring loaded shackle clip designed for quick release. If you’re a hiker or a mountain climber you already know this. If not, you may already have a carabiner on your keychain and just didn’t know the name. At any rate, the clip makes it fast and easy to hang the speaker on just about anything including your backpack, your belt, your Bimini Top, your bicycle handlebars, or a picnic basket. Extremely versatile!

Walking in the Rain

Anyone that hikes on a regular basis understands that sooner or later you’re going to get caught in the rain. Not to worry, the JBL Clip-On Bluetooth Speaker is splash-proof. You can’t submerge it in a bucket of water, but it can handle a few raindrops just fine.

Take a Hike! How about 5 Hours?

If you are taking a long hike in the woods you need a battery that can go the distance as well. The JBL Clip Plus is equipped with a rechargeable battery that has a life of about 5 hours on a full charge. After 5 hours of hiking, I would need a recharge myself, let alone my Bluetooth Speaker. You can recharge the unit using a USB Cable.

The Verdict

It’s easy to see why I picked the JBL Clip Plus as the Top Clip On Bluetooth Speaker. It is ultra-light, very durable, and has the quality sound that JBL is noted for. The speaker also doubles as a speakerphone so you can take phone calls on your journey. Although if your hiking in the woods and trying to get away from it all, the last thing you want is a phone call from civilization.
